Both Dylan and Lando were born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, where a culture and love for thrifting / all things vintage, has been prominent for as long as either of them can remember.
Dylan has early memories of shopping at the thrift store with his parents, and grew up having to make the most out of hand me downs from older family members. This always gave him a natural inclination towards fashion, and thinking outside of the box about how to reinvent the clothing he wore. His grandfather and his great-grandfather were both Indy Car drivers, and National Dirt Racing Hall of famers. His great-grandfather even won the Indy 500 back in 1950. Dylan has early memories of going to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and being enthralled with the vintage race suits, and other gear inside the museum, further sparking his interest in vintage clothing.
Lando also grew up in and around the thrift. When he was a kid, especially during the Holidays, his mother would go to the Goodwill bins to find name brand clothes that she would then take to Platos Closet, for extra cash. This was Lando’s first introduction to the idea of reselling clothing. The thrift is always somewhere where he found himself, with a low budget, and an ever evolving style. He grew up in a home that always encouraged creative expression, and fashion is something that struck a passion in him, from a very early age. He has always had a distinct love for collecting different things, and as he got older, and learned what to look out for at the thrift, he became obsessed with collecting clothing. When he found out about the environmental benefits of thrifting and reselling, he couldn’t stay away. His favorite thing about vintage, however, is reinventing a piece, through his out-of-the-box styling choices. He prides himself on having a 100 percent second-hand wardrobe, and not needing anything else to achieve what he wants to achieve, with fashion.
Both Lando, and Dylan have roots in art and music.
Dylan grew up with a very musically enriched father, who showed him some of the all time great music from the 1960s - 1990s. This gave him a very early love and ear for music. He started picking up instruments and learning to play, at the age of five. He’s been in several bands, the first one, forming back in 2011. He currently plays bass guitar in two local Indianapolis bands (TATAKAE and Iota). Dylan is also artistically inclined in many other areas, including his love for photography and videography.
Lando is a recording artist / singer / songwriter. He has always had a passion for writing, and for writing lyrics specifically. He has very early memories of he and his sister writing songs when they were only 6 and 8 years old. Lando wrote his first song when he was just 11 years old, and has been writing music and poetry ever since. Lando has always had a passion for drawing and painting, and even plans to start designing reworked vintage pieces in the near future. Anything he does, he strives to do creatively.
Lando and Dylan’s creative and artistic roots, allow them to bring a very thoughtful, unique, and eclectic collection of carefully curated pieces to the table. They hope to present vintage to you in a new and fresh way that you haven’t seen yet, and help the planet along the way!
